The Berlin Major 2023 was a kind of redemption for the teams from DPC SA 2023. After a disappointing homecoming at The Lima Major 2023, Evil Geniuses made it to the top 4 of the Berlin tournament, maintaining their honour and raising the Peruvian region to unprecedented heights: no team from South America has ever reached the final stages of Major tournaments before.

EG, and seven other local teams, return to the DPC SA 2023 Tour 3 Upper Division - the last event of the season before the IO Bali Major 2023 and The International 2023. At stake is $205,000 and 1,150 DPC points, in addition to two trips to the key IO Bali Major 2023. "The backbone" of the DPC SA 2023 Tour 3 roster is made up of beastcoast and Evil Geniuses, who will once again be playing each other for the regional championship. The former are two-time DPC SA 2023 winners in previous rounds, but Evil Geniuses are the region's most prolific team on the international stage.

They will be joined by other equally well-known South American clubs including Thunder Awaken, Infamous, Hokori and others.
