Get Ready for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred DLC: Nahantu Region and Points of Interest Overview

Although Diablo 4, Blizzard’s long-awaited hit, received a lukewarm reception at launch, it now has its first DLC— Vessel of Hatred. Released on October 8, 2024, Vessel of Hatred adds a significant amount of new content to the game.
Perhaps the biggest addition in the DLC is the new class, Spiritborn, making its debut in Diablo 4. However, while Spiritborn is important, it’s not the only content awaiting in Vessel of Hatred. Along with Spiritborn, the game introduces a mercenary system, a revamped character leveling system, a new storyline featuring Neyrell, and the Nahantu region, where most of the expansion's events will take place.
Considering that players will spend much of their time in Nahantu during Vessel of Hatred, before diving into the DLC and stopping Mephisto’s plans, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with what lies ahead in the dangerous jungle. In this article, we’ll explore the Vessel of Hatred map and Nahantu region’s points of interest.
Full Nahantu Map
Nahantu is a new region in Diablo 4, introduced with the release of the Vessel of Hatred DLC on October 8. It is home to the Spiritborn class and is located in the southeastern part of the world map, with Kurast Bazaar as its capital. It is accessible from either Kejistan or Hawezar. You can view the full Diablo 4 map via this link.

As we can see, Nahantu is quite large, comparable in size to Hawezar and Scosglen. It is divided into 11 subregions, each with a unique biome, along with corresponding mobs and activities. Here are the subregions of Nahantu:
- Kichuk
- Tagenze Plateau
- The Cauldron
- Field of Giants
- Lingering Hatred
- Viz-jun
- Kurast Bazaar
- Restless Canopy
- Five Hills
- Seven Stones
- Chakhir
Though there are 11 subregions, only 6 are large, while the rest are cities in Nahantu or locations for World Bosses. As with all regions in Diablo 4, Nahantu is filled with points of interest. There are so many that it deserves its own section.
Nahantu Region Points of Interest
The new Nahantu region offers players many places to explore. One of the “richest” regions, it features the following points of interest:
- 1 Campaign Quest
- 6 Waypoints
- 3 Strongholds
- 1 Sidequest
- 20 Dungeons
- 30 Cellars
- 6 Stashes
- 4 Unique Elites
- 5 Mystery Chests
- 2 Accursed Rituals
In addition, the Nahantu map includes Armor Vendors, Alchemists, Blacksmiths, and other utility NPCs. Moreover, Nahantu introduces new altars, which are “highly loved” by the Diablo community. Here, they are called Tenet of Akarat, and there are 30 of them.
As in other regions, the Helltide event regularly occurs in Nahantu, specifically in the Lingering Hatred, Seven Stones, and Chakhir subregions.
So, this is the Nahantu map in Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred. Such a large-scale DLC as Vessel of Hatred brings plenty of content at launch and in the near future, and we eagerly await even more Diablo 4 news.
