We open the global review series for the final DPC Tour of 2023 with a betting tee on the Hydra vs Nemiga Gaming match. The teams have the honour of opening DPC 2023: EEU Tour 3 in a head-to-head clash.

For the Long Circuit, the organisers from Paragon Events have chosen a very neutral match. The two teams are not championship contenders, but rather the dark horses.

Here's an update on the clubs' playing conditions and how the first leg of Week 3 of the DPC season will unfold.

Hydra's form

We'll open the Hydra vs Nemiga review with an analysis of the Kyrgyz club's jerseys. It will be Hydra who will have the better chance of success in this match.

Hydra's advantage can easily be explained by their past record, but they won't have a strong lead in terms of odds in any case. As already stated in the betting preview, the teams do not claim high places during the season, and therefore they are somewhere at the same level, and their peak can be called the top 5-6.

Hydra did just that last season. Dream's team made it to the top DPC division from League Two, finishing in the top 1 in the first DPC cycle.

Facing the top clubs from Eastern Europe and some very serious teams in the international competition, Hydra were nervous but fought well. Hydra made it through to the top 6 on the DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division Tour II, retaining their place in the next round.

Hydra went 2-5 on DPC 2023 last season but were 8-10 on the map. The team took almost all the favourites by map, including BB Team and Team Spirit.

Hydra will approach the league in the new season with a revamped squad. Helping or ruining them will be Lil.

• Hydra line-up:

Hydra's newly arrived foursome played in various mixes and line-ups all last season. They were Brame, KBU.US, Cringe Crew and Ancient Tribe. The Ukrainian player is still trying to "start a family", but so far the attempts look pathetic. But perhaps a better-played line-up, like Hydra's, will revive Lil's confidence and we'll see an incredible performance from him?

Hydra's most popular heroes

Amongst the most chosen heroes are Tusk (38 matches, 73% wins), Beastmaster (33 matches, 60% wins), Disruptor (30 matches, 73% wins).

In addition, Batrider (21 matches, 76% wins), Keeper of the Light (19 matches, 84% win rate), Clockwerk (19 matches, 63% win rate) are often played.

Hydra has a fairly large character pool and serious recruitment. The team is enterprising (in different senses of the word) and therefore should be a serious rival for Nemiga Gaming.

Nemiga Gaming uniforms

We continue with our match-by-match analysis of the Nemiga Gaming uniforms. In this match, they face us in the status of the outsider.

The bookmakers attribute this state of affairs to the overall performance of the teams. Nemiga, however, play worse, if you generalise.

Last season Nemiga played in the second division, where they dropped after the first round of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division. The experience of playing in the top division took its toll and Nemiga were quick to adapt to the local atmosphere to return to the first league.

Last season DPC 2023: EEU Lower Division Nemiga finished first. The team finished the cycle 7-0, losing only 3 games in a row.

Nemiga had a change of squad as the spring season progressed. The Outsiders (Vp) have bought out the club's main headliner of the DPC 2023 EEU Upper Division Tour I - kiritych. v1olent takes the place of the departed carry and Nemiga's line-up seems to have been decided.

After the departure of kiritych, Nemiga no longer has such "outstanding" performers. Now, the team has to rely on the overall chemistry and teamwork, which they did in the previous DPC draws.

All in all, they have a lot to play for. The backbone of the team is stable, they have been playing for a long time and can win, as we have seen in the course of many games, albeit of questionable quality.

Nemiga's most popular heroes

Over the last month, the most chosen Nemiga Gaming heroes were Disruptor (6 games. 100% wins), Pangolier (5 games, 80% wins). Monkey King, Terrorblade, Clockwerk, Snapfire, Rubick and Primal Beast were each played 4 times. MK, TB, Clockwerk and Snapfire each had 100% wins, Rubick had 75, and Primal Beast won 2 matches.

Nemiga were a formidable force during the first cycle of DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division. Over time they started to "deflate", but they seem to have closed the second division without too much trouble, which means teams like Hydra can cause problems.

History of head-to-head encounters between Nemiga and Hydra

The teams have played each other a total of 5 times, of which 4 times Hydra has won. However, the most recent match in the DPC 2021/2022 season ended in favour of Nemiga.

Result of the match

As an opener, quite a game. It will be interesting to watch the preparation of the teams that spent three weeks learning how to play in the majors and before that had been watching DreamLeague.

Speaking of winners, I will single out Nemiga Gaming. I'm not at all impressed by Lil's arrival in fourth position at Hydra, and his results last season speak for themselves. I'm confident of a close fight with Nemiga as the eventual winner.

Bottom line: victory for Nemiga.
