But at bigger events they cannot get past Gaimin Gladiators. Both the Lima Major and the DreamLeague S19 are positioned in the final table immediately after them in 2nd place. Evil Geniuses is the 4th team in the world ranking. All three rounds DPC manage to finish only in 2nd place, as they can't get past beastcoast at all, but the team is obviously stronger than bc, taking into consideration the results of the last majors. EG managed to take the 5th-6th place at the Lima Major, though if they hadn't made such a stupid mistake, they could have got higher. Nevertheless, the result is still decent. The Dreamleague Season 19 was slightly worse, ending up in 7th place. At the Berlin Major, they managed to climb to 4th place, which is a very strong achievement.
EG are being presented as a very strong underdog. Liquid are certainly strong, one cannot take that away from them, but they lost Entity 0 2 on the DPC in their first match.
