Today is the culmination of The International 2023 - South America Qualifier. There are 3 teams left in the race for the slot, including Thunder Awaken and Mad Kings.

Thunder and Mad Kings will play in the lower grid semi-finals. The winner of the match will go to the small final or the final of the losers' grid, where he will win a ticket to The International in a Bo3 match against AcatSuki.

Thunder Awaken played against Qhali in a match to qualify here, the semi-finals of the lower grid. In that match TA should have had no problems with their teammates, but they lost on the first map, which is not a very good indicator if they intend to go to TI.

Before the Long Sogpeg qualifiers for The International 2023, Mad Kings played two more EPL seasons. Unlike Season 4, EPL Season 5 and EPL Season 6 ended in a fiasco for Mad Kings: the team finished Top 6 and Top 9 respectively, which cannot be called a good result.

The qualifiers themselves started with the top net, where Ledgeili Keyd Stars went 0-2 in the first round. They then dropped the first round of the lower grid and went on to beat Lava 2-1.
