Welcome to EGamersWorld.
Things are heating up at League of Legends World Championship 2024. And it's still the Swiss Stage of the year's main tournament.
Let's talk about the 2-1 basket matches that will take place on the 10th of October. One of those matches is Hanwha Life Esports and FlyQuest.
We're trying to figure out if we have a chance to see a team from NA in the play-offs or if we'll end up with a more than logical win for Hanwha Life Esports.
Let's go.
Hanwha Life Esports uniforms
Let's open the analysis of the match Hanwha Life Esports vs FlyQuest with the analysis of HLE's form. In this match they are playing as favourites with odds to win at around 1.3.
HLE have consistently made it to the late stages of the regular split. This only started to work out in 2023. Before that, in the 2022 season, HLE were the worst team in the race, twice finishing in the top 10 in regular splits.
It was corrected by 2023, after the big Reshuffle. Two reigning world champions joined the HLE roster, which strengthened the club considerably.
- HLE roster: Doran, Peanut, Zeka, Viper, Delight.
With the addition of Zeka and Kingen to the HLE lineup, it was clearly more vigorous. So much so that they made it to the top 4 of LCK Spring 2023. The latest addition to HLE is Grizzly, a jungler who got promoted from the academic roster.
It seems to be working out pretty well. HLE finished in the top 3 in the regular season, which with teams like Dplus, T1 and other top teams is pretty good.
In the first play-offs match HLE warmed up against DRX. Nominally reigning world champions couldn't do anything against their visions and HLE easily closed the match with the score 3-0.
Then the situation was not so rosy: HLE ran into Gen.G and fell 0-3. The favour went to the bottom set of play-offs, but it did not save them for long.
Hanwha Life Esports faced KT Rolster in the first match of the last chance grid. The pressure was too hard and HLE was washed away: 0-3 and a play-offs exit, and at the same time not a pass to Worlds 2023.
They tried to make it to the Worlds in the regional finals, but again failed. LCK finished the final tournament of the season in the top 3, having failed to use either of the two attempts to qualify for the Worlds: they lost first to KT Rolster with a 1-3 score and then to Ledge or DPlus KIA with the same score.
Hanwha Life Esports finished the LCK Spring 2024 season in the top 3. The team once again fell one series short of reaching the international LAN tournament.
HLE advanced to the LCK Summer 2024 play-offs from the second place of the regular season, finishing 14-4. Went directly to the second stage of the playoffs. They debuted at the LCK Summer 2024 play-offs with a match against T1, where they beat the reigning world champions 3-0. HLE then lost to Gen.G, beat T1 again on class and in the grand final got revenge on Gen.G and became LCK Summer 2024 champions.
Worlds 2024 HLE Long started with a solid win over PSG Talon. Next up was a win over G2 Esports. In a 2-1 setback to Gen.G.

FlyQuest Form
We continue our analysis of FlyQuest vs Hanwha Life Esports match with FlyQuest's match form. In this match they will play as an outsider with odds to win at around 5.
FlyQuest have been on the professional scene since 2017. Back then, they were hanging around somewhere in the middle, ranking from top 7 to top 7.
The following years were also unsuccessful: in 2018 the peak was TOP-6 at LCS Summer 2018, then TOP-4 at LCS Spring already in 2019. The turning point was the 2020 season, when FlyQuest made it to the Worlds 2020 after twice making Top 2 at home. However, it wasn't too bad to take special heights there, though: TOP-12 for a FlyQuest ranked team can be considered a success.
In the season 2021 and 2022 the team played "standard" for themselves. The average was top-6.
At LCS Spring 2023, the team finished second in the group stage, losing to Cloud9. The team won the group stage with a score of 14-4.
- FlyQuest lineup: Bwipo, Inspired, Jensen, Massu, Busio.
The team lost to the leaders of the standings Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid and TSM. However, having played each of the teams twice, FlyQuest took one match each.
The team had no net defeats in the group stage. The team did not participate in any third-party events.
In the first match of the play-offs FlyQuest played with 100 Thieves. The opponent, who nominally could compete with FQ, was unable to take even a map: the match ended with a 3-0 defeat in favour of FlyQuest. After a successful Long Sogpeg, FlyQuest made it to the Top 3 before losing to Golden Guardians 2-3 in the finals match, thus being left out of Worlds 2023.
In 2024, FlyQuest made it to the LCS Top 2 and eventually made it to MSI 2024. Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 started off with a very surprising 2-1 win over PSG Talon. In the match to qualify for the Bracket Stage FlyQuest expectedly Ledge or T1 with a score of 0-2. And then there was a rematch of PSG Talon and FlyQuest left MSI 2024 on the 10th line.
At LCS Summer 2024 the team took the top 3 with the score 5-2. In the play-offs FlyQuest defeated NRG 3-1 and then very unexpectedly beat C9 3-1. By reaching the final of the top flight, they guaranteed themselves an appearance at Worlds 2024. The cherry on the cake was winning the grand final.
At Worlds 2024 they debuted with a class win over GAM Esports. In the second match, they lost to DPlus KIA. In the next series, defeated PSG Talon.
FlyQuest's most popular champions
The top FlyQuest champions are KSante (9 matches, 66% wins), Sion (4 matches, 50% wins), Jax (2 games, 100% wins) and Renekton (2 matches, 100% wins).

Predicted result of HLE vs FlyQuest at LoL World Championship 2024
It seems that it will be too easy for HLE to get into the play-offs. However, they are the champions of South Korea, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they make it to the main stage. FlyQuest is left to prepare for the final Bo3 in Swiss Stage in a 2-2 basket.
Bottom line: HLE wins with a score of 2-0.
