University of Warwick to host TCL World Esports Championship

The University of Warwick currently host the TCL World Esports Championship 2024 at its campus.

The event feature a collegiate EA Sports FC 25 tournament involving educational establishments across the country.

The opening rounds of the UK National FC25 Tournament have begun on October 12th and take place across two weekends before concluding on October 26th.

The UK National FC 25 Tournament also features a £1,000 prize pool.

Colleges and universities competing are required to organize an in-house competition featuring at least 16 players. In addition, the University of Warwick’s Esports Centre will also pay accommodation and travel expenses to the top four players competing in the grand final.

In recent years, the University of Warwick has hosted a range of Esports initiatives at its facility.

In October 2023, Warwick partnered with Korean Esports organization Gen.G to host a winter Esports camp for students.
